S/Y Delta är en 37 foot (11.35m x 3,60m x1.70m) Orca konstructed
of Van de Stad,build 2008 in Sweden. The boat is
made of steel. She have two guest cabins : two berths in bow, one dubble berth
in stern and two seaberths in the saloon. Delta can take 4 overnights
guests.She is equipped with Volvo Penta engine 65 hp. ekosound, 1 Kw 220V
generator,1 HF radio , 2 VHF, 2 GPS, dinghe, Optimistdinge with outboard motor, life raft sun tent, paper charts, elektronic charts over whole world, two bicycles.
We can sometimes take 2-4 persons on board who may follow os with our voyage.
As guest crew you are quite simple part ofthe crew.
You participate in the daily duties together with the other crewmembers onboard.
You are expected to, among other things:
Participate when we leave and come to port or mooring
Steer the boat with the help of compass according to the skippers directions
Help out to set, reef and/or take down the sails
Prepare food for the crew one to two days a week
You don’t need any previous experience of sailing, but it is an advantage if you want to learn more.
Onboard the Delta we are all dependent on each other.
Equipment list:
This is good to bring when you
sail on the Delta, besides you personal belongings of course.
-Seasickness pills: There can be roughweather sometimes
-Sunprotection: The sun is strong at seaand the water reflects the sunrays.
-Long sleeved skirt and trousers: These arethe best sun protection.
-Books: There is plenty of time to read.
-Sunglasses: Protect your eyes!
-Hat: Protect you head!
-Gloves: Protect you hands when we set sail or winch!
-Waterbottle: Good to have when onshore.
-Rainjacket, trousers and shoes.
-Snorkel equipment.
You do not need to bring:
Sheets and towels.
